Biography of Al Vaudreuil

Al Vaudreuil has been an active performing musician in the Central Ma. area over the last 45 years. He has worked in various bands touring the The US, Canada and Europe. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Diploma in Guitar Performance (’74) and a Degree in Music Education (’81) Al has shared the stage with such artists as: Luther Johnson, Alan Dawson, Roland Kirk, Papa John Creech, Marshall Wood and Donna Byrne, Jeff Coffin, and Rebecca Paris. He played regularly with Worcester Jazz legend Emil Haddad. Presently, in addition to his education roles at Worcester Academy(Director of Instrumental music Studies) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute(adjunct professor of music), Al holds the Guitar chair in the Worcester Jazz Orchestra and Jerry Secco’s Milford Jazz Machine big bands, is co founder of the Organic Chemistry jazz organ quartet, and serves as a sideman to several local jazz groups. He has also appeared in orchestras for numerous musical theater productions at the Hanover Theater, including Footloose, Oklahoma, Legally Blonde: the Musical, the Jackie Evancho tour with the Central MA Symphony Orchestra, and several programs with the Thayer Symphony Orchestra
