Jazz at the Club

Jazz at the Club is een initiatief van een team bestaande uit de jazzliefhebbers Ronald Blom en Robbert Coops, radiomaker en columnist Paul Waayers en audiotechnicus en recensent Marnix Bosman.
Jazz at the Club is een toezicht van het bestuur van De Witte. Naast leden van Sociëteit De Witte zullen ook Haagse jazzliefhebbers komen luisteren naar de top van de Nederlandse jazz. De dresscode op de sociëteit is normaliter jasje/dasje, maar bij uitzondering is dat bij deze jazz-optredens op vrijdagavond in de Pleinzaal informeler.

Start dit radioconcert om 19:00 uur en zal tot ongeveer 21:00 uur duren. Tijdens het concert wordt een eenvoudige hapje geserveerd
De eerste, succesvolle concerten waren druk bezocht. Er zal ook deze keer een maximum aantal bezoekers van 250 wordt gehanteerd. De eerste inschrijvers zullen worden toegelaten.

Deze Litteraire Sociëteit de Witte aan het Plein in Den Haag waar in een sfeervolle ambiance absolute topartiesten uit de Nederlandse en internationale jazzwereld komen optreden. Jazz at the Club evenementen zijn toegankelijk voor leden en niet-leden van de Witte en voor meer informatie over activiteiten van Societeit de Witte kunt u terecht op www.societeitdewitte.nl .

Dit organisatieteam is tevens verantwoordelijk voor de zomer concerten in het The Hague Marriott hotel (voorheen het World Hotel Bel Air) de plek waar voorheen de artiesten van de Haagse edities van het North Sea Jazz Festival hun nachtelijke jamsessies hielden.

Alle concerten in de Witte en het Marriott worden live gestreamd via ons eigen Internet radiostation en worden via dat kanaal ook regelmatig herhaald. Jazz at the Club internet radio biedt 24/7 een gevarieerd programma met veel jazzmuziek, live registraties van de eigen concerten en een maandelijks jazz magazine met interviews, columns en uiteraard nog veel meer muziek.

Sociëteit De Witte

De Nieuwe of Littéraire Sociëteit De Witte ('De Witte'), opgericht in 1782, is een besloten vereniging die al ruim twee eeuwen een markante positie in het Haagse sociale leven inneemt. 'De Witte' is gehuisvest in een monumentaal pand aan het Plein naast het beroemde Mauritshuis en het Binnenhof. De sociëteit is zowel met de auto als het openbaar vervoer goed bereikbaar.

De Witte biedt haar leden uitgebreide faciliteiten in het Pleingebouw(hoofdgebouw). In de zomermaanden speelt het sociëteitsleven zich grotendeels af in onze zomerresidentie, Paviljoen De Witte , in Scheveningen. De essentie van het sociëteitsleven is nog steeds dezelfde als in 1782, namelijk 'gezellig verkeer en geoorloofde uithuizigheid' . De ruim 3.300 leden zijn op tal van fronten actief via tafels, (sport)clubs en commissies, waarbij verschillende soorten bijeenkomsten worden georganiseerd; van lezingen, borrels en diners tot sportactiviteiten en uitstapjes naar het buitenland. Daarnaast zijn er jaarlijks terugkerende sociëteitsevenementen, terug te vinden in de Agenda.
Bij bezoek aan de Sociëteit of het Paviljoen behoort men bepaalde kledingvoorschriften in acht te nemen.

Jazz at the Club

Jazz at the Club is an initiative of a team consisting of jazz enthusiasts Ronald Blom and Robbert Coops, radio maker and columnist Paul Waayers and audio engineer and reviewer Marnix Bosman.

Jazz at the Club is overseen the board of De Witte. In addition to members of Society De Witte, jazz enthusiasts from The Hague will also come to listen to the top of Dutch jazz. The dress code at the society is normally jacket / tie, but exceptionally with these jazz performances on Friday evening in the Pleinzaal, it is more informal. Radio concerts start at 7:00 pm and will last until about 9:00 pm. A simple snack will be served during the concert

Among other things, the Societeit de Witte is responsible for are the public jazz events in the Nieuwe or Litteraire Society de Witte at the Plein in The Hague, where absolute top artists from the Dutch and international jazz world perform in a concert atmosphere. This organization is also responsible for the summer concerts in The Hague Marriott hotel (formerly the World Hotel Bel Air), the place where the artists of the Hague and the North Sea Jazz Festival previously held their nightly jam sessions.
All concerts in the White and Marriott are streamed live via our own Internet radio station and are regularly repeated via that channel. Jazz at the Club internet radio offers a varied program 24/7 with a lot of jazz music, live registrations of their own concerts and a monthly jazz magazine with interviews, columns and of course much more music.

De Witte Society

The Nieuwe or Littéraire Society De Witte ('De Witte'), founded in 1782, is a private association that has occupied a prominent position in social life in The Hague for more than two centuries. 'De Witte' is housed in a monumental building on the Plein next to the famous Mauritshuis and the Binnenhof. The society is easily accessible by car and public transport.
De Witte offers its members extensive facilities in the Pleingebouw (main building). In the summer months, social life largely takes place in our summer residence, Paviljoen De Witte , in Scheveningen. The essence of social life is still the same as in 1782, namely 'pleasant traffic and lawful absence' . The more than 3,300 members are active on numerous fronts through tables, (sports) clubs and committees, where different types of meetings are organized; from lectures, drinks and dinners to sports activities and trips abroad. In addition, there are annually recurring society events, which can be found in the Agenda.
When visiting the Society or the Pavilion, one should observe certain dress codes .
