Mehdi Azaiez BIOGRAPHIE:
Guitariste, compositeur, est né et a grandi à Tunis, il commence la guitare en autodidacte à 15 ans, en jouant du blues et du Rock. Curieux, touche-à-tout, il s’intéresse de plus en plus au Jazz, jusqu’à ce qu’à ce qu’une rencontre fortuite avec John Abercrombie au festival de Tabarka en 2000, lui fasse se tourner résolument vers la musique. En 2002, il rejoint Paris, voyage en Italie, Pays-Bas et Belgique et travaille avec acharnement, de conservatoires en masterclass où il a la chance d’apprendre auprès de Frédéric Favarel, Michel Perez, Misja Fitzgerald Michel, puis Peter Bernstein, Ben Monder, Roberto Cecchetto et Lage Lund entre autres. De concerts en projets, Il navigue désormais entre La France et la Tunisie où il développe aussi des masterclass et workshop pour la generation émergente de musiciens de Jazz.
